They did not get the trach or feeding tube done today. Little has changed. They are supposed to give him a sponge bath tonight.
The doctors have said little about his condition. However, today, they told Sonny, Mike's dad, that Mike must have a special purpose. They stated that he should have died at least twice so far. The first time being the wreck - it is a miracle that he survived that. The second time was a few days ago when his oxygen saturation levels dropped below the 80's. A man in Mike's condition shouldn't have been able to recover from that....but he did.
This really made for a good day for Ericka. Look to the small blessings to find the bigger ones.
He is supposed to get his trach tomorrow. The waiting game continues.
