Mike remains unconscious. A broken left kneecap has been added to the list of injuries. The doctors initially decided to do surgery to remove Mike's spleen. However, they changed their minds and decided to insert a catheter instead. The idea was to drain the blood from the internal bleeding and to take a closer look to see if it was just the lacerated spleen that was bleeding.
Once inside, they discovered that the spleen had sealed itself shut and was no longer bleeding. GOOD SIGN.
He still has some blood on the brain, mild swelling of the brain, and some bruising of the brain.
Right now he is not responding as well as they would like or hope for. He still listed as critical.
