January 15th - Day 11

Here is the latest from Ericka:

Mike ran a temperature of 102 to 103 off an on today. His cranial pressure went up to 25, but then came back down shortly there after.

The doctors decided that they want to do his tracheotomy in surgery. They feel that this is the best plan, because it will allow them to keep his neck stabilized and keep him monitored. Surgery is booked for today (Wednesday), so they are hoping to get Mike in on Thursday. However, they were able to get his peg in today (Tuesday).

They are slowly trying to wean him off of his right chest tube. Apparently they don't just remove it....it is a backing off process.

Other than that, there has not been much change. Mike is stable but critical. He still has not regained consciousness.

There has been a fund set up at Bancorp South. It is in the name of Ericka Carter for donations towards Mike Carter. This is an opportunity for people to help contribute and offset the many expenses that come with these situations.

Prayers are still the same....healing and strength.

Once again, thanks for all the support. It really does mean alot to Ericka.
