Mike went through an "evaluation" this week at WK Pierremont. They routinely do this after a patient has been there for a "set" amount of time. They have decided to keep him there at LifeCare and continue his treatment. However, they are not happy with his progress. The first week or so that he was there, he seemed to make progress, but for the past week or so, Mike has not made much headway. He has battled pneumonia and a urinary tract infection.
As of this morning, he has pneumonia again. They have already started him on treatment medications for this.
The good news is that they feel like he is not in a deep coma. If he were in a deep coma, he would not be making any movements or blinking and opening his eye. He has done these things. This is a good thing.
Keep praying.... pray that he gets through this pneumonia and that he starts making progress. Pray for Ericka's continued strength.
